Hospices de Beaune
The Hospices de Beaune, or Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune, is a fifteenth-century hospital in Beaune in Burgundy, which was active until the 1960s. Now a museum, it houses and displays The Last Judgement by Rogier van der Weyden. Its foundation by Chancellor Nicolas Rolin goes back to 1443 and was completed in 1457. It is famous both for its traditional Burgundian architecture and for its prestigious Burgundy vineyard, whose production is sold at auction under the name Hospices de Beaune wine sale.
