Château de Gevrey-Chambertin
The Château de Gevrey-Chambertin is a fortress devoted to Burgundy wines, 12 km south of Dijon and about 30 km from Beaune, not far from the Clos de Vougeot. Gevrey-Chambertin is a wine village on the Route des Grands Crus, along the Côte de Nuits, famous worldwide for its wines.
The château is open to visitors; tours include a tasting and a computer-generated film retracing part of the history of the place. Visitors explore the fortress, its vaulted rooms and cellars, before continuing on foot through the village or along the Route des Grands Crus.
