Château de Longecourt-en-Plaine
The Château de Longecourt-en-Plaine, in the Côte-d'Or, a few kilometres from Dijon and close to the Côte des Vins, is surrounded by moats crossed by three fixed bridges. It is built of brick on a dressed-stone base under slate roofs. The château and its outbuildings have been protected as historic monuments since 1946.
The building combines round towers with pointed 16th-century roofs and 18th-century stucco decoration with an Italian charm. The Burgundy Canal runs nearby.
Private property that also offers accommodation, the château opens to visitors occasionally: during the 2025 European Heritage Days, a guided tour of the interiors of about fifty minutes was offered, with free access to the gardens. No 2026 programme has been found so far.
