Savigny-lès-Beaune

Côte-d'Or, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

The château de Savigny-lès-Beaune is in the Côte de Beaune, in the heart of the Burgundy vineyards. It rises in an estate of 12 hectares, crossed by a river that once fed the moats of this former fortress.

Today, the site is best known for its collections spread over the château and the park: more than eighty fighter aircraft, old motorbikes, Abarth racing cars, fire engines and winegrowers' tractors. A single ticket gives access to all nine of these collections, which makes it an unusual visit for the region.

The estate is also a place for wine tasting and sale, in the Petit Château dated 1671. Savigny-lès-Beaune is a wine village a few kilometres from Beaune, in the Côte-d'Or département.
