Château d'Arcelot
The château d'Arcelot is at Arceau, near Dijon, in the Côte-d'Or. It was built between 1761 and 1765 by the architect Thomas Dumorey, for Philibert II Verchère, on an older building. It has been listed as a historic monument since 1948, and its park since 1999.
The château is in the neoclassical style of the eighteenth century. The estate extends over about forty hectares: the park, labelled Remarkable Garden, includes a large pond, a Chinese pavilion and an arboretum.
Visits of the château take place on specific dates rather than on a permanent calendar: a visit is announced on 19 and 20 September 2026, during the European Heritage Days, with reduced or free rates for certain audiences. Ticketing and parking are at the Trianon, rue du Colombier, at Arceau.
