ZooParc de Beauval

Loir-et-Cher, Centre-Val de Loire

4,000 animals over 22 hectares, one of the most extraordinary zoos in Europe! Exceptional animals: okapis, koalas, white lions and tigers, manatees... and more surprises for 2006. Summer and winter you can discover an exotic world in an exceptionally flowered and shaded park. A journey into the heart of the animal world, through its 4 tropical greenhouses (more than 7,000 m² of sheltered visit), its vivarium, its African savannah where more than 70 animals (giraffes, zebras, ostriches, antelopes, rhinoceroses...) roam free over 3 hectares, its African elephants over 5 hectares (the largest installation in Europe), more than 250 primates, its rare and mythical animals, the largest ornithological collection in France...

Open every day of the year, from 9 am until nightfall. The ZooParc is visited freely and on foot. A full day is advised. Park map given at the entrance and explanatory and educational panels on each animal species.
