Touroparc
Touroparc is an animal park at Romanèche-Thorins, in Saône-et-Loire. According to its website, it extends over twelve hectares and welcomes more than six hundred animals belonging to more than a hundred and twenty species. The animals live in spaces designed according to their way of life, and you move around on paths.
The park sees itself above all as an animal park, without thrill rides. It offers meetings with keepers and original visits in contact with elephants, lemurs or giraffes. A water area, with slides and water games, opens in summer.
Created more than sixty years ago, Touroparc launched in 2010 an endowment fund, Touroparc Conservation, which supports programmes to protect threatened species, including Niger giraffes and ring-tailed lemurs of Madagascar. In 2026, the park announced the births of a Grévy's zebra and an Indian rhinoceros. It also offers seasonal activities, such as Halloween, and welcomes groups and school classes.
