Plage de Pampelonne
Pampelonne beach, at Ramatuelle, is the most famous on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. It unrolls about four kilometres of fine sand, facing a clear sea, between Cap Camarat and the Pointe des Sardinaux, with a hinterland of vineyards, pines and hills covered in maquis.
The beach is known for its beach establishments and private beaches, but also for its free areas, notably at the ends, where you can swim more peacefully. The sea is generally calm, which suits families. In summer, it is very busy: favour the morning or late afternoon, and allow time for parking.
