Plage de l'Escalet

L'Escalet beach is a small beach of golden sand at Ramatuelle, nestled between rocks and maquis, at the foot of Cap Camarat, in the Var. It is less known than Pampelonne, more intimate, and the sea there is clear and well protected, which appeals to families and snorkelling enthusiasts.

From the beach, a coastal path lets you reach the Cap Camarat lighthouse and follow the coast, with fine views over the Saint-Tropez peninsula and the sea. The place can also be visited out of season, for calmer walks. In summer, attendance is high and parking is limited.
