Plage de Gigaro

Gigaro beach is a long arc of fine sand at La Croix-Valmer, in the Var, at the foot of Cap Lardier. The sea there is clear, often calm, and the beach is bordered by a pine grove and maquis. The site is largely protected by the Conservatoire du littoral, which keeps its natural character, far from the atmosphere of Saint-Tropez.

From the beach, a path leads to Cap Lardier and its viewpoints over the sea and the Hyères islands. The site is much prized by families in summer. Come early in the morning or at the end of the day to avoid the crowd, and take your rubbish back to preserve this coast.
