Musée de la Maison Bonaparte
Built at the end of the seventeenth century, the Maison Bonaparte is an important relic of the history of the imperial family, which has come down to us in an excellent state of preservation.
A historic witness of the first importance, the Maison Bonaparte received successive visits from important members of the dynasty, as well as from various illustrious figures, such as Gustave Flaubert.
Listed as a historic monument, it is the birthplace of Napoleon I and presents itself as a rare example of a Corsican patrician home that has kept its nineteenth-century décor.
Become a national museum in 1967, the Maison Bonaparte stands out for the exceptional quality of its furniture and its décors of various styles, from the Directoire to the Second Empire.
