Cascade de Carnevale (Sant'Albertu)
The Carnevale waterfall, also called the Sant'Albertu waterfall or Piscia di Carnavalli, is a fall of about ten metres above Ajaccio, in the Corse-du-Sud. Sources place it near Cauro, on the road to Bastelica.
To get there, leave Ajaccio on the N196, then take the D27 towards Bastelica. A short walk of about ten minutes from the road leads to the foot of the fall.
The waterfall is most impressive in winter and spring, fed by rain and snowmelt. The water is cold, which often discourages swimming, although it is possible. In summer the spot is popular and can be busy.
