Vasques de la Richiusa
The Richiusa pools, also called the Cardiccia pools, form a wild canyon at the foot of Monte d'Oro, in the commune of Bocognano, in Corse-du-Sud. It is on the road between Corte and Ajaccio, just before the Col de Vizzavona. The Cardiccia stream has carved a succession of basins with clear water there.
The canyon is one of the best known on the island for canyoning descents. It has a drop of about 220 metres over 1,200 metres in length. The route links a series of pools to pass by natural slide, several jumps, and a 12-metre waterfall to abseil down. It is reputed for its playful side, in a setting both mineral and green.
