Cascade de Bavella
The Bavella waterfalls mainly designate the Purcaraccia waterfalls, in the Bavella massif, in Corse-du-Sud. The torrent carves a series of pools, natural slides and basins of clear water in the rock there, between the villages of Zonza and Solenzara, near the Bavella road (D268).
The site is reached on foot from the road by a marked path, whose duration varies according to sources. Higher up, the Col de Bavella is overlooked by the famous porphyry needles, one of the island's emblematic landscapes, which you can combine with the visit.
Access to the Purcaraccia waterfalls is regulated in summer following accidents, with dates that change every year. You should check with the tourist office before leaving.
