Cascades de Polischellu

The Polischellu waterfalls are in southern Corsica, on the path from the village of Conca to the nearby Purcaraccia canyon, not far from the Bavella massif. The torrent tumbles down the granite in a series of falls and clear, turquoise pools, very popular with walkers for a swim in summer.

The site is set in a typically Corsican landscape of maquis and laricio pines and is a favourite stop on the Mare a Mare Sud trail. It is reached on foot by a shady path suitable for families, but the slippery rocks around the pools call for care.
