Cascade de Rivetu
The Rivetu waterfall is in the Fiumicelli ravine, above Solenzara, in Corse-du-Sud. Hiking descriptions give it a height of about eighty metres. It marks the end point of the upper part of the Fiumicelli, a return route up the torrent, almost as interesting as the lower part.
The Fiumicelli is known for its aquatic hike: you go up the river past green pools, natural slides and jumps. This type of route calls for sure footing and time; a rope is recommended. The ravine remains more discreet than the lower part of the torrent and leads to one of the least visited canyons on the island. The approach starts from the Col de Bavella road, near the ruins of Rocchiu Pinzutu.
