L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
Nicknamed "the Venice of the Comtat", L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is one of the most attractive towns of the PACA region because of the exceptional character of its living environment.
It draws this force of attraction from the Sorgue, a river with a never-dry source that gives the strange impression of a miraculous suspension of time.
The antique dealers, shops of character, galleries, Campredon Art Centre, a high place of culture, all these ingredients maintain the myth of the "L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue" phenomenon.
Streams, canals and rivulets thus wind tenderly, with a regular flow, from Fontaine-de-Vaucluse where they have their mysterious source to the Partage des Eaux, a place blessed by the gods, romantic and poetic as can be, a paradise for anglers, dreamers and ducks.
