Château de la Clayette

Built in 1380, the château was the centre of one of the most important lordships in the region until the Revolution. Of the fourteenth century there remain only the outbuildings with their watchtowers, the Paray tower and the fortified gate. In the eighteenth century new buildings were added to the medieval keep, and in the nineteenth century part was remodelled in neo-Renaissance style.
