Cascade de l'Andlau

Bas-Rhin, Grand Est

The Andlau waterfall, also called the Hohwald waterfall, is in the commune of Le Hohwald, in the Bas-Rhin, about two kilometres from the village centre. Le Hohwald is an old holiday resort of the Vosges foothills, above Barr, surrounded by forests.

You can park at the car park below, then walk about ten minutes to reach the fall. The site is part of hiking loops that link Le Hohwald to the Col du Kreuzweg, with a possible return via the Lindenhof farm-inn.

The waterfall is appreciated in summer for its coolness. In great winter cold, it can turn into an ice sculpture. Its flow is greater in spring and after rain.
