Cascade de la Serva

Bas-Rhin, Grand Est

The Serva waterfall is in the Vosges massif, in the Bas-Rhin, in the woods above Neuviller-la-Roche and Natzwiller; some sources attach it to the commune of Belmont. It is reached on foot, notably from Natzwiller, Rothau or Schirmeck.

The Serva stream descends there over several rocky steps in the forest, and it can be forded at a shallow spot.

According to local legend, the Demoiselle de la Serva, a green-haired fairy dressed in silver, lives in the torrent's waters. A guided outing on the theme of the waterfall, legends and traditions is offered from Neuviller-la-Roche by the tourist office.
