Plage de Palombaggia à Porto-Vecchio
Palombaggia beach is in the commune of Porto-Vecchio, in Corse-du-Sud, about a dozen kilometres south-east of the town, between the hamlets of Piccovaggia and Bocca dell'Oro. It is a long beach of pale sand framed by red rocks and lined with umbrella pines, facing the Cerbicale islands nature reserve.
Access is by the D 859, from the RN 198 south of Porto-Vecchio, towards Palombaggia and Piccovaggia. Car parks are laid out nearby, some private, and tourist buses serve the beach in summer. From neighbouring accommodation, you can also reach it on foot.
Its setting of sand, rocks and pines makes it one of the best-known seaside sites in Corsica. It is very busy in summer.
