Plage de Cupabia

Corse-du-Sud, Corse

Cupabia beach is a long wild white-sand beach in the Gulf of Valinco, in Corse-du-Sud. It stretches over more than a kilometre, bordered by dunes, maquis and hills covered with strawberry trees, and remains less frequented than the great beaches of the region. A Genoese tower, raised on a promontory, watches over the bay.

The beach is reached by a track then on foot, which preserves its character. The water is clear, swimming pleasant, and several paths set off towards the tower and the coast. As often in Corsica, services are scarce: bring water, food and sun protection, and leave with your rubbish.
