Musée de l'Ecole de Nancy
The École de Nancy museum is a museum in Nancy devoted to the artistic current of Nancy Art Nouveau known as the École de Nancy. Set up in the former property of Eugène Corbin, a great patron of the movement, it was officially opened to the public in its present form in 1964. In the museum garden stand an aquarium listed as a historic monument, a door made for Émile Gallé's factories and a funerary monument. The collections on show are formed of rooms fitted out in Art Nouveau style (bedroom, bathroom, study, dining room), of display cases devoted notably to works by Émile Gallé or the Daum manufactory and of drawings by Henri Bergé. Among the artists shown, one may also mention Victor Prouvé, Eugène Vallin, Louis Majorelle and Jacques Gruber. The garden and the aquarium were placed on the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments in 1998.
