Musée de l'Aventure Peugeot
The Musée de l'Aventure Peugeot is at Sochaux, in the Montbéliard conurbation, near the brand's historic industrial site. Founded by the Peugeot family in 1988, it traces more than two centuries of industrial history, from the first tools and coffee grinders to contemporary cars.
The collection brings together, depending on the sources, several hundred vehicles, of which about 130 are on show: cars of every era, competition models, concept cars, but also about fifty cycles and motorbikes, including bicycles linked to the Tour de France. Visitors also discover some 3,000 everyday objects made by Peugeot, such as tools, household appliances, sewing machines and radios.
The museum also keeps company archives, posters and photographs. It was extended in 2010. It suits car enthusiasts as well as families and those curious about the economic and social history of Franche-Comté.
