Le Malzieu-Ville
Le Malzieu-Ville is a small medieval town in the north of the Lozère, on the banks of the Truyère, at the gates of the Margeride. It is ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Its remains of ramparts, fortified gates and towers recall its past as a walled town, while the town keeps stone houses and peaceful squares.
The village is visited on foot in about an hour, around the enclosure and the church. It is a good starting point for walks in the high-altitude landscapes of the Margeride and the nearby Aubrac, and makes a pleasant stop between Saint-Chély-d'Apcher, Saint-Flour and the Gévaudan.
