Le lac du Crozet

Isère, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Lac du Crozet is a small mountain lake in the Belledonne massif, in the Isère, at about 1,974 metres' altitude. It lies on the path to the La Pra refuge, run by the French Alpine Club and a little higher, at about 2,110 metres.

The hike can start from Pré Raymond. Route sheets give an itinerary of about eleven kilometres there and back, leading to the lake and then on to the Col de la Pra. It offers views of the Grésivaudan valley and the Chartreuse massif. Access is on foot only, preferably in summer and early autumn, when the path is free of snow.
