Cascade d'Oursière
For waterfall lovers, this is the most powerful and spectacular one in the area. It has to be earned, but the climb is very shady and fairly gradual, which puts it within reach of young walkers. Wait until early summer: a plug of snow can block the way until May or June.
From Uriage, turn left onto the road to Chamrousse (via Saint-Martin-d'Uriage). Pass the Chalet des Seiglières, then look out on the left of the road, at about 1,100 m, for a track sloping gently downhill with an information board. Park there. The path is easy to follow to the waterfall. The bravest can even continue beyond it towards the Lacs Robert and La Pra (a long walk).
