Cascade du Pissou

Isère, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Pissou waterfall is in the Haut-Bréda valley, in the Belledonne massif, in the Isère, near the hamlet of Fond de France. Unlike the limestone waterfalls of the neighbouring Chartreuse, it winds in several steps between granite rocks.

The site is accessible by an easy walking path, from the Fond de France car park, from where you follow the direction of the waterfall. According to the tourist office, the fall is a few hundred metres from the hamlet of La Corne. It is possible to extend the outing with a loop passing through the Granges de Naime and La Martinette.

The forest setting is pleasant in summer. The site is accessible all year round, but winter requires caution because of snow slides. The path is not suited to wheelchairs.
