Le lac de Bracca

The Lac de Bracca lies in a glacial cirque of the Renoso massif, in the Haute-Corse, near the village of Ghisoni. With the Lac de Bastani a little higher up, it is among the highest bodies of water in the massif, which explains why it is relatively hard to reach: the hike follows steep paths far from the usual starting points.

Its calm waters, framed by rock walls and granite blocks, make it a favourite stop for experienced walkers seeking solitude and unspoilt high-mountain scenery.
