Cascade de la Bujia
The Bujia (or Buja) waterfall hides in a chestnut forest, in the commune of San-Gavino-di-Fiumorbo, in Haute-Corse. About a hundred metres high, it is among the tallest on the island. The torrent comes down in three successive falls along vertical walls before dropping into a deep natural pool with crystal-clear water.
The path starts near a bridge, about a kilometre from the village cemetery, and follows the right bank of the stream, with yellow marks and cairns. The walk lasts about forty-five minutes under the chestnut trees and includes a steep climb. At the foot of the fall, the pool can accommodate about ten people for swimming, picnicking or resting.
