Lac des Sapins

Rhône, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Lac des Sapins is an artificial lake in the communes of Cublize and Ronno, in the Rhône, in the heart of the Haut-Beaujolais, about 65 km north-west of Lyon.

It is an outdoor leisure site popular with families for swimming, with a developed area and a so-called biological bathing area, and for various activities around the lake. The lake's treehouse village offers unusual accommodation.

The lake hosts sporting events, such as the Lac des Sapins triathlon, held in June 2026. A tourist office at the entrance to the dyke, in Cublize, informs visitors about activities and swimming conditions.
