Grotte Marines de Porthos

Morbihan, Bretagne

Belle-Île-en-Mer, on the Atlantic Ocean facing Quiberon, is the largest of the Ponant islands but also the wildest. Natural harbours and deep rias, enclosed coves bathed in turquoise water, vast beaches of fine golden sand, superb dune ensembles, jagged cliffs pierced by sea caves… Everything invites marine discoveries.

It is in the surroundings that Porthos, one of the Musketeers, is said to have died in a cave that remains to be discovered!
