Aiguilles de Port Coton
Located west of Belle-Île, on the wild coast, the needles have as their neighbour the Grand Phare guiding sailors with its range of 111 km... Claude Monet painted them many times. In storms, the needles are swept by wind, and the waves, throwing up their foam, seem to wrap the place in a veil of cotton... hence the name! In calm weather, you will have every opportunity to try to spot the rocks with curious resemblances to Mont-Saint-Michel, the Sphinx or even the bust of Louis XIV... Renowned, the place is often considered the most beautiful on Belle-Île.
