Gorges et cascade du Sierroz

The surroundings of Aix-les-Bains, blessed by nature and patiently enhanced by people, offer wide potential. To the healing thermal springs, to the Revard which, as Dr Monard already claimed, "regenerates", to the body of water of Lac du Bourget whose shores have remained partly intact, respond the restful landscapes of Corsuet, Tresserve or the hedged countryside.

But who has walked the Sierroz gorges, only a few minutes from Aix, in the commune of Grésy? Since their closure to the public in 1980, they seem to have fallen into oblivion. Yet there you find a remarkable natural site, a high place of nascent romanticism, transformed by tourism and which would very surely deserve rehabilitation as a series of projects suggests.
