Cascade du Py

Savoie, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Py waterfall is a waterfall in Savoie, in the Vanoise massif, on the edge of the national park, above Champagny-en-Vanoise. It is on the course of the Py, a small torrent coming down from the Cul du Nant and Midi de Bellecôte glaciers, which then flows into the Doron de Champagny. It overlooks the mountain hamlet of Laisonnay, and the path leading to the Plaisance refuge passes on the left bank, right beside it. It is a fine hiking stage in summer, at altitude: bring warm clothes.
