Gorges du Corong
The Corong gorges are a chaos of granite blocks in Central Brittany, in the Côtes-d'Armor, in the communes of Locarn and Saint-Servais. The inventory of classified sites (sheet BRE 0039) covers about eleven hectares and ranks them among the most beautiful granite chaos of the Quintin massif.
A stream winds between enormous blocks, in a wooded valley, on the edge of the Duault forest. A legend attributes these stones to the giant Boudédé, who is said to have emptied his shoe near the watercourse.
From Locarn, you reach the site by the Saint-Nicodème road. A discovery path also starts from the Convenant-Hoat car park at Saint-Nicodème and crosses heaths and forests. In the area, the menhir known as Poatr Zaout, the "cow guardian", stands on the summit of Menez Guellec.
