Château de Lamargé
The Château de Lamargé, at Fontanges in the Cantal, consists of a 14th-century square tower incorporated into a late 16th-century rectangular main building, flanked by two towers at each end of its south façade. In the 18th century the building was extended at the back and a wing was added. It is surrounded by 19th-century outbuildings and classical-period terraces.
Inside, the 18th-century wing has period décor: painted panelling, overmantels, fruitwood parquet floors, ceilings with rosettes and cornices. Its exact construction date is unknown.
