Château de la Grée de Callac

Morbihan, Bretagne

The Château de la Grée de Callac was built from 1892 to 1908 in the commune of Monteneuf, in the Morbihan, for the Count du Bot. Its architect was Frédéric Jobbé-Duval, and the park and several outbuildings extend into the neighbouring commune of Augan. The heritage inventory describes it as a complete, well-preserved ensemble: the château, its park and gardens, a chapel, stables, a hunting lodge, an orangery and a gatehouse.

The château and part of its surroundings have been registered as historic monuments since December 1990. It is private property, and none of the sources consulted mentions regular visits. Enquire at Monteneuf or Augan town hall or the local tourist office.
