Château de Jaulny

Meurthe-et-Moselle, Grand Est

In the heart of the Rupt de Mad valley, in the Meurthe-et-Moselle, the village of Jaulny has a glorious past. Its castle, of the 11th and 12th centuries, is one of the rare witnesses to the feudal period in Lorraine.

Visitors can explore its rooms and displays recalling daily life in the late Middle Ages (15th century). In the 19th century, a Monsieur Collignon found nearby many Neolithic cut and polished stones and objects from the Early to the Late Bronze Age, notably a magnificent Early Bronze Age ingot currency (2000-1500 BC). All these objects can be seen in the castle.
