Château de Cazeneuve

Gironde, Nouvelle-Aquitaine

The Royal Château de Cazeneuve, 13th–17th century, near Bordeaux along the Ciron Gorges (Natura 2000), former property of the Kings of Navarre, King Henry IV and Queen Margot, is entirely restored, its Royal Apartments furnished in period style and its outbuildings fitted out: wine store, medieval underground ageing cellars, nymphaeum, prisons, bakery, troglodyte caves,... the whole surrounded by a large wooded park with ponds. It is still inhabited by the ducal Sabran-Pontevès family. The Château and its Park have been open for visits and receptions for more than 20 years.
