Château de Cambiaire

Over the centuries the Château de Cambiaire, in the Lozère, has been remodelled: a chapel was built next to the keep, and 'clèdes' for drying chestnuts were added.

On the border of the southern Lozère and the Gard, at the foot of the Cévennes and their national park, the château overlooks the pretty village of Saint-Étienne-Vallée-Française, crossed by the Gardon for swimming and fishing and surrounded by forests for walks and hikes. It is now a guest house and is not open to visitors.
