Château d'Oyez

The Château d'Oyez is at Saint-Simon, in the Cantal, above the Jordanne valley. It combines a feudal motte with a 15th- and 16th-century manor house, once called the Salle d'Oyez.

Its interior décor, rare in rural Haute-Auvergne, is what makes the house interesting. The façades and roofs have been listed as historic monuments since 1972.

It is a private residence: visits are limited, and an opening in July and August for an exhibition is reported, without recent confirmation. It is advisable to contact Saint-Simon town hall or the owners before going.
