Arche du Trou de la Bombe
The mountainous part of the commune, in the Corse-du-Sud, has many granite peaks and is particularly favourable to forest growth: laricio pines, firs and chestnuts cover more than half of the commune's territory.
South of Bavella, a path leads in an hour to the Col de Velacu, from where 'U Cumpuleddu', also called the 'Trou de la Bombe', comes into view: a natural curiosity eight metres in diameter.
