Abbaye notre Dame des Neiges
The Abbey of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, at Saint-Laurent-les-Bains in the Ardèche, was founded in 1850. Some twenty monks continue the monastic life here.
A film of about thirty minutes presents this life, and a memorial recalls Blessed Charles de Foucauld, who stayed here. The monastery guesthouse hosts spiritual retreats.
A shop sells monastic and regional products, the monastery's wines and religious books; next to it are a café and a temporary exhibition room.
