Zoo des 3 vallées
The Zoo des 3 Vallées is a zoological park at Montredon-Labessonnié, in the Tarn, in the heart of the hills where several valleys meet, at the gates of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park. It is among the largest zoos in south-west France, with several tens of hectares of park.
The route crosses different areas: big-cat plateau, herd animals plateau, aviaries, African plain, Tibetan valley and tropical greenhouse. Vast enclosures and semi-freedom areas let the animals move about in a preserved environment.
Plantations are also grown on site to supply part of the feeding of certain species. The site extends over a marked relief, and the visit is on foot, which requires good shoes and several hours. A destination suited to families during a stay in the Tarn.
