Saut de la truite
The Saut de la Truite is one of the best-known waterfalls of the Sidobre, a granite massif in the Tarn east of Castres. The water tumbles down the edge of the plateau in a fall of about twenty-five metres, among heather and chestnut trees.
The site is signposted from the road between Burlats and Lacrouzette. It is reached on foot by a short but steep path climbing through the woods; depending on the source, the walk takes fifteen to thirty minutes. The path is not suitable for pushchairs, and the trail beyond the viewpoint is neither waymarked nor maintained.
The Saut de la Truite is among the most visited natural sites of the Sidobre, famous for its rock chaos.
