Wave Island
Wave Island is a water park at Monteux, in the Vaucluse, between Avignon and Carpentras. Created in 2015 under the name Splashworld Provence, it took its present name in 2018 after a takeover plan. It covers about five hectares and groups about thirty attractions and water activities, spread between family areas, thrill rides and children's zones.
The park stands out for its giant slides, one of which peaks at 33 metres, a river, wave pools and a surf simulator offering riding sessions. Waterfalls, beaches and a shallow area for the youngest complete the whole. The site also offers food outlets and a stay with accommodation called Wave Village. It is reached from the Avignon Nord motorway exit.
