Tournon-d'Agenais

Lot-et-Garonne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Tournon-d'Agenais is a medieval bastide of the Lot-et-Garonne, perched on a promontory in the Agenais countryside, and ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Its central square bordered by arcades, its church and its lanes that descend between stone houses make a peaceful atmosphere, far from any crowd.

The village is visited on foot in about an hour. The viewpoints over the hillsides, the surrounding hiking paths and the proximity of the Lot valley make it a pleasant stop between Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Fumel and Monflanquin, for those who like authentic villages of the South-West.
