Thenissey

Côte-d'Or, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

The Château de Thenissey, in the Côte-d'Or, stands on a 350-hectare family estate of forests and meadows. The site has a 15th-century part and an 18th-century part, surrounded by moats and a large 10-hectare park.

The château is designed for receptions. The large ballroom is inspired by Italian architecture and the salons have kept their authentic character. On the mezzanine level, the old vaulted kitchens have a more rustic atmosphere of dressed stone and traditional lime render. The ground floor and the old kitchens are linked by a wide staircase, allowing receptions on both levels at once.
