Château de Commarin
The château de Commarin, in central Burgundy, 40 km west of Dijon, is part of the Historic Route of the Dukes of Burgundy. Inhabited since its beginnings by the same descent, it has been many times at the heart of French history, from the Crusades to the Revolution. Since 1967, Count and Countess Louis de Vogüé, 25th generation of owners, have lived in the château. Heirs of a monument that has crossed the centuries without being sold or looted, they strive to perpetuate its living and human aspect. Commarin is a precious witness of the past, each century having left its mark while respecting that of earlier generations.
